Fax entries can also be accepted using VISA/MASTERCARD/AMERICAN EXPRESS. There will be a $3.00 charge for all facsimile entries received. Please include your credit card number and expiration date on a fax cover sheet with a list of entries included in the fax and the charge. Both sides of the Official AKC Entry Form must be faxed on the same sheet. Fax entries will be accepted until 6PM on the day the show closes. The fax number is (916) 923-6383.

CLOSING DATE FOR ENTRIES: 6:00pm, Wednesday, April 27, 2005, after this time no entries will be accepted, cancelled, altered or substituted except as provided for in Chapter 14, Section 6 of the AKC Dog Show Rules.

A Judging Schedule and Acknowledgment of Entries will be mailed to each exhibitor as soon as possible after the close of entries. Should such acknowledgment not be received by an exhibitor within seven days before the show, please contact the show secretary.

NON-REGULAR CLASSES INVOLVING SINGLE DOG ENTRIES
Veteran Dog .......... Veteran Bitch
(for Dogs or Bitches 7 years old or older)
(Note: Chapter 11, Section 8 of the Dog Show Rules states that neutered dogs and spayed
bitches may compete in the Veteran Classes only at independent specialties and/or those all breed shows which do not offer any competition beyond Best of Breed)

BEST OF BREED COMPETITION
Award of Merit .......... One Award for Every 3 Entries in Best of Breed Competition

NON-REGULAR CLASSES INVOLVING MULTIPLE DOG ENTRIES
Stud Dog Class - For dogs that have sired at least two dogs or bitches entered in this show.
The award will be based on the merits of the get. The owner of the Stud Dog need not be the owner of the get. Stud Dog must be entered in the Stud Dog Class and shown in the ring with his get. As the decision of the judge in this class will be based on the merits of more than one dog, no one of the dogs making up the entry judged First in this class will be eligible to compete for Best of Breed by virtue of having won this class.

Brood Bitch Class - For bitches that have whelped at least two dogs or bitches entered in this show. The award will be based on the merits of the produce. The owner of the Brood Bitch need not be the owner of the produce. Brood Bitch must be entered in the Brood Bitch Class and shown in the ring with her produce. As the decision of the judge in this class will be based on the merits of more than one dog, no one of the dogs making up the entry judged First in this class will be eligible to compete for Best of Breed by virtue of having won this class.

Brace Class - For two dogs of the same breed and variety, irrespective of sex, with identical ownership. Dogs must also be entered in a regular or non-regular conformation class. The entry form must be marked accordingly in the space provided for Additional Classes(Brace).

Parade of Champions - This non-competitive exhibition is for all Maltese that have been awarded a Championship and/or an Obedience Title by the American Kennel Club. Please send a short history of your dog to be read during the parade. Each dog will receive a Rosette with the dog’s name printed on it.

SWEEPSTAKES

Sweepstakes is open to Maltese who, on the date of the show, shall be at least 6 months and under 18 months of age. Dogs entered in Sweepstakes must also be entered in one of the regular classes of this show and on the same entry form with the word “Sweepstakes” and age classification , marked in the box for Additional Classes on the official AKC entry form. Sweepstakes wins carry no AKC Championship points.
