I acquired my first Maltese (Lexi) in 2002. She was as
cute as she could be, but was too small to consider breeding and so she
is now a pampered pet living with my parents. Lexi was a wonderful teacher for me, she has an outstanding, typy Maltese temperament and patiently allowed me to learn how to grow coat on a Maltese.
Since that time, I have had the great opportunity
to be mentored by the wonderful Mary L. Day of C and M Maltese and Cindy
Jones of the Senoj Maltese. Both Mary and Cindy have been invaluable to
me in teaching me everything that is Maltese. I am very fortunate to
have acquired my two foundation girls from Mary.
I love showing dogs and attending dog shows. In
my opinion, Maltese are the most beautiful breed and have the most
loving temperaments that make them absolutely irresistible. Raising and
showing Maltese is my passion and I have very few litters a year (1 to 2
per year). What I do keep, I show; however, a pet Maltese may be
available occasionally, or I may know a breeder that I can refer to
you. At Aria, we strive to breed as close to the AKC Maltese Standard
as possible and place an emphasis on structure, temperament and type.
Please note that any Maltese placed as a pet is done so with limited
registration, that is they cannot be bred.
I currently hold the office of President for the California Central Valley Maltese club and I am a
member of the American Maltese Association and Pacific Rim Maltese Club. When I am not at a dog show or playing with my Maltese, I am generally spending time with my family which includes my husband, Gerald and two sons, Michael (12) and Brendan (7), or working full-time as an HR Management Consultant for a Fortune 500 Company.
